Can green jade stone turn black?
I have a jade pendant (medium green - the color that often are described as "green jade ") I've had about 10 years. The other day I looked at the stone has turned completely black. The silver around the stone has turned black and still remain bright and looks good. The last time I had was maybe 3-4 weeks ago and then was its normal color. I do not remember their exposure to something unusual like the heat or chemicals, but I suppose it's possible. I searched online but have not found anything useful. I even wondered if possible, it is not jade, but some other green stone like agate. Any ideas? What could make this stone back to black after years of being green?
I do not think the "real" stones to do that.
