how to make adjustable bracelet with cobra weave knot?
I bought a bracelet in Malaysia that is falling apart at the knot that's holding it together and allows the ends to adjust. I want to put it back together, but everywhere I've searched online, it shows how to either make an adjustable square knot or chinese knot, which this bracelet is neither. The closest thing I can find is that my knot looks exactly like a cobra weave. However, all the instructions I see is where the whole bracelet is a cobra weave and not adjustable. My bracelet is made up of beads, and the ends are held together of what looks like a cobra weave. So I'm trying to find out how to make a cobra weave where the strings coming out of each end can slide in and out to adjust the size of the bracelet. I suppose my other option is to take it apart and do the square or chinese knot to serve the same function, but I really like this cobra weave look.
I'd probably need to see a picture of it. Mostly because I'm a highly visual person and I have always been bad at taking verbal and written instructions because I just need to see it. I'm also not quite entirely sure what a cobra knot is, but it does sound cool.
I tried looking it up and I'm still not 100% sure what it is, but I found a website with video tutorials here that I believe might possibly be what you're looking for.

Or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVfrSJJEWsA if you don't feel safe going on unknown websites. It has three parts, and together they're 30 minutes long - however, he did explained what he was doing very clearly and it didn't seem too difficult.
He's weaving it so there's like two colours in the stripes.
Poor example, but it goes something like
▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ - the parts on both sides are consistantly the same colour
█░█░█░█░█░█ - middle has two different colour stripes.

If you mean there's a knot at the end of one side and you put it through a loop at the other end and it doesn't stay well, you might be able to undo the knot and then try to tie a big enough bead on instead. I nearly always finish my hemp jewelry with a bead to use as a clasp as I personally find them easier to work with, and I find they stay better.
You might also be able to just tie the stings together around your wrist.
Superglue might be a possible answer. I once made a loop way too big on a necklace and I just glued part of it together and it was fine after. Looked a little weird, but it worked.
