which running shoe to get?
I'm contemplating between either the asics gel kahana 3, or nike air max lte
they're both on sale at big5 right now.
I'm leaning more toward the nikes, though.

Have you been fitted for running shoes?
Running shoes come in three different types - neutral, stability, and motion control. These are both neutral shoes. Before you buy a neutral shoe, you should get fitted at a running store (you don't have to buy the shoes) to make sure that biomechanically you can safely run in a neutral shoe (a lot of people can't). Also, I agree that it's unwise to buy any shoe you haven't actually tried on, so if you get fitted and find that you can wear a neutral shoe, make sure to try on both pairs in a store so that you don't end up wasting money on shoes that aren't comfortable for you. Believe me - that's the last thing you want when you're running track.
