What do I need to supply a tattoo artist with?
I'm looking to get my first tattoo soon and am unsure of what I need to bring to the artist with me. I've selected the design or whatever that I want (my family crest: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Clan_member_crest_badge_-_Clan_Wallace.svg) but does this need to be printed on anything in particular or can I just rock up with an A4 sheet with this on it and they'll handle the rest?

As long as your bring a picture big enough to show the detail, they will size it for you and make a stencil out of it. Technically, you don't even have to bring a picture. You could just tell them what you want and a good artist will be able to knock it out for you with a little time. But, since you have access to an image, bring it in and make everyone's life easier.
PS, remember to tip your artist! First timers rarely remember how important it is.
