Usually ultra expensive phones come with entry-level functionality. The Mobiado Grand 350 Pioneer however is actually very well equipped. It has a QWERTY keyboard, quad-band GSM, dual-band 3G with HSDPA, Wi-Fi and integrated GPS. The QVGA screen has a 2.36? diagonal and displays up to 16M colors.
There's also a 3.2 megapixel camera along with Bluetooth, microSD card slot, microUSB port and 2.5mm jack. These specs make the Mobiado Pioneer sound almost too good.
Here's how Mobiado describes the exterior of the new device: "The 350 Pioneer body is CNC machined from spacecraft aluminum, and clear anodized to produce an elegant hard surface for demanding everyday use. The frame is then inlayed with sapphire crystal and the infrared window is made from a solid piece of ruby crystal. The screws are gold plated stainless steel. The buttons of the 350 Pioneer are a dramatic combination of sapphire crystal and stainless steel."
The materials used to manufacture the 350 Pioneer (besides the meteorite, of course) include lavish use of "spacecraft aluminum" and ruby and sapphire.
The Mobiado Lucido 350 Pioneer is dedicated to the Pioneer 10 probe, which launched 37 years ago. A total of 37 phones were made to celebrate each of those years. Buyers will find the limited edition number engraved the right side of the phone, while on the left side you can see the exact time of the launch of the probe from Cape Canaveral.
So if you want an exclusivist phone, with more than decent functions, you will have to hurry, and put your hands deep into your pocket because the price will definitely be colossal.
This is not a phone for regular people, probably only the richest people on the planet will buy it. Is this really a trifle? I guess no. If you have money then you will buy it. Simple.
Mobiado didn't say how much the Grand 350 Pioneer costs.
A Canadian-based luxury mobile phone maker Mobiado has launched their latest luxurious phone which is dubbed as the 350 Pioneer. The phone's casing is CNC machined from spacecraft aluminum and clear anodized to produce an exclusive hard surface.
Its frame is also inlaid with sapphire crystal, while its infrared window is made from a solid piece of ruby crystal. In addition, the phone uses gold-plated stainless steel screws, which makes this handset more expensive. The Mobiado GRAND 350PRL is available in a very limited quantity.
There are just 37 units that are available for purchase. The Mobiado 350 Pioneer has a 3.2-megapixel camera, a 2.36-inch 16 million colors LCD display, an integrated GPS, Bluetooth and a micro USB connectivity.
