PS3 Fat Memory slots and USB?
Do all the PS3 fat systems come with the Memory Stick slots and 4 usb slots? I have one now that does not open like a tray for memory sticks and no serial number. I was going to send it into Sony to have them check into it, but if no one else has one like this I don't want them switching it like Nintendo did with my Wii controller. I was told it as a display model, but I want to make certain the case is genuine.
I looked the Internet, if I could rate down that first response I would. If you looked to have tried to answer there is no other forum postings for a PS3 Fat system without 4 USB and the Memory Slot bay. I happen to like Yahoo Answers, so decided to post it here instead of another random located forum.

Do all the PS3 fat systems come with the Memory Stick slots and 4 usb slots? NO
Only three models come with 4 USB ports and Flash Card Readers (Memory Card slots), and those are the three backward compatible models (20GB , 60GB, Limited Edition 80GB MotorStorm and MGS4 Bundle PS3s). This is how you tell if the PS3 is backward compatible or not.
Every other PS3 only has 2 USB slots and no memory cards, which includes the fat 40GB, 80GB (not Limited Edition), 160GB, and all slim models (120GB, 160GB, 250GB, 360GB).
Your PS3 is a non-backward compatible model (40GB, 80GB (not Limited Edition) or 160GB), which means it will only have 2 USB ports and no Flash Card Readers. That is the way they were made, there is nothing wrong with the PS3.
