So... When I am not out fighting crime in brightly colored spandex outfits, I am a mild mannered computer geek. I got a call to do a network job at a place that was getting set up in a mall. You sometimes get down on hands and knees when pulling cable... and sometimes sparkly things really ARE diamonds! Over the course of the day I found three gem stones. a .55 carat diamond, a .07 carat diamond, and a .14 carat emerald.
Needless to say, I didn't exactly go out of my to point this out to anybody.
This isn't a moral question. The rocks are mine now, that much is done. What I want to know, is, can I sell them, or they "hot"?
Possession in 9 tenths of the law... the jewelry store is gone, so they are yours to do with whatever you want.
