How to make a cool display case that can be quickly hidden?
I have a collection of some people do not approve. Nothing, nothing illegal dangerous. I want to put the collection on screen, but being able to hide quickly. Mainly because making such a thing sounds like a fun project, and would good for display. As in MIB when the pawn shop type presses a button and watches and jewelry and such swap with exotic weapons, but easier to do. Library have elegant glass and lighting, and maybe 2 or 3 square feet, larger, but would be nicer. I considered just having a rack with a lid that can be shot down. The problem would be convincing camouflage is not just seen as a rare cabinet. My woodworking skills are basically nonexistent. Maybe an end table with shelves inside, where three of the sides and top out? Give me some fresh and practical ideas. Thanks!
Get online and find the canvas material. I't basically a trick used on Broadway where fabric appears opaque until it turns on and then you can see what is behind him. It's kind of the opposite of what he is talking, but can be painted on the surface it seems a scene (art) until the lights come back him to show something else.
